Mike has done a truly outstanding job surveying our site’s stakeholders, coming up with recommendations to support changes, and working with College staff members to implement the changes. I am truly amazed at Mike’s dedication to the Digital Media website and to the insightful comments and ideas he makes about improving it.  I know that scores of “5” are frowned upon, but I truly believe that Mike is outstanding in this regard.

Having Michael Dawson as my right-hand Instructor’s Assistant while teaching the DIGM 1350 course proved invaluable and enjoyable. He is a deliberate soul who thoughtfully reviews a risk to identify it, assess it and ultimately reduce it. This mentality proved fantastic when he assisted me in redesigning the course. He undertook revising all the teacher instructions; adding and replacing questions for test work and reformatting the Blackboard user experience. Whilst working with the students, his calm ability to handle technical or administrative issues as well as assist in reviewing their work or instructing them transformed the classroom into a refined learning episode.

Mike Dawson does much more than his job title suggests — he ‘s also a reliable teammate. In addition to his responsibilities of operating the lab, Mike is always eager to offer and exchange ideas for classroom engagement, which resulted in great success. He contributes his time and assistance to tasks under strict deadlines that are outside of his scope, and I relied on his judgment and technical skills on how to improve lab procedures for more meaningful student experiences. With his management skills combined with his pleasant demeanor, Mike has not only enhanced the classroom experience but proved to be a dependable colleague.
